Last week, Opinions had the pleasure of attending the Plant- Based World Expo in London.
To quote Sitopia by Carolyn Steel “We live in a world shaped by food, a Sitopia (sitos - food; topos - place). Food, and how we search for and consume it, has defined our human journey.”
Tasting the myriad of alternative proteins and plant-based products, meeting market leaders and learning about the history and future potential of this burgeoning category was truly eye- opening and highlighted the verity of this statement.
It will be fascinating to observe how our food systems continue to evolve into the future and how our consumption choices will impact the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
The plant-based future is certainly bright (and tasty)!
