Our team spent the day out in Wicklow getting up close and personal with some very important, and very small colleagues: the native Irish honey bees!
We partnered with OpenHive Honey, a social enterprise dedicated to conserving Ireland’s native honey bee through ethical beekeeping, habitat creation, and community education. They maintain hives across the country, including our very own company hive, a small but powerful way to support biodiversity.
It was an eye-opening experience learning how essential these bees are to our ecosystems, and just how fragile their survival can be without human support. Plus, we got some sweet honey tasting!
